Hi I'm Sally Mae! I am about 3 years old and weigh about 50 lbs. I am so happy to be here in Wisconsin and looking for my new family.  I'm housebroken and crate trained, but would rather be out and about with my people.  I have to know where they go and what they are doing in case they need my help with something.  My favoite game is chase the other doggies. I do entertain myself also with chew bones, toys and tennis balls. But, the bigger the yard the better or a really nice doggy park will do. I am quickly learning to walk nicely on my leash including sitting/waiting when I reach a street corner. Following my walks or outdoor time, I simply want to curl up next to you for some petting and snuggle time. I will follow you right into bed, if that's what you want. But, I will go into my crate when asked, because I know my people need to sleep and work too. I'm good with that.  Sometimes I go in by myself if I want a rest from my foster brothers and sisters or they want one from me.  I try to respect the other doggies in the house, so I share my toys and wait patiently for my meals an treats.  I have not had the opportunity to meet any cats, so I can't tell you anything on that. My first foster in Georgia said I was good with kids 8 and above. I haven't had the chance to meet any younger kids.  I have been working hard on my commands like sit, down, off, leave it, stay, come, potty and eat. I am such a smart girl.  So, if you'd like to give this smart girl a chance and give me a furever home, I will be here waiting to share all the love I have to give.

Adoption Fee: $400

We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433

***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.

Our Weight Classes are as follows:
0- 25lbs - Small
26- 45lbs - Medium
46-89 - Large
90+ X-large

If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:

Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.

If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee.

Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.

If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.

If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.

Please go to
WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

Our Adoption Process...

To begin our adoption process, please visit - there you can read more about our policies, our adoption area and fill out an online application. The applications are good for 60 days.

After being approved, you will receive an email and if the dog you are interested in is available, the foster for the dog will be in contact to set up a meet and greet to determine if this is the correct dog for your family/lifestyle. If so, you could begin our mandatory 5 day foster to adopt trial period, and if you decided to adopt, we would set up your home visit.
