Sid is a good looking blue eyed Lynx Point Siamese male that was found hanging around a beauty salon off of Hwy 153. He was born in July of 2014, weighs ~10 pounds, and is FIV+. He is very friendly and talkative. His pretty eyes are accented by his wide brimmed nose making him absolutely adorable! Sid was adopted over the summer but returned due to someone in the family developing an allergy.
FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a manageable disease that is frequently misunderstood; most FIV+ cats live long happy and healthy lives. Sid is as healthy as can be and shows absolutely no signs of illness. FIV is spread through mating and deep bites and can not be spread with simple contact. It is safe for FIV+ cats to live with negative cats as long as fighting is not an issue.
For more information about FIV, visit http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimals/petcare/cats_fiv.cfm.
The adoption fee is $25 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
