Franky's Story...
I'm Franky and I am 6-7 years old. I had heartworm treatment three weeks ago and I am ready for a new home in a few more weeks! I have lived in a home with lots of dogs and twin 5 year old boys. I do well with all of my friends! I am potty pad trained, in case you live in an apartment! My family can no longer take care of me and have asked the rescue to find me a nice home that will love me and take me in as their own.
Franky is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is microchipped and will be on a heartworm preventative and flea preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Franky, a Plainfield Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
