Important Note

Scarlett is best friends with Rhett. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Hi, my name is Scarlett, and I’m a beautiful orange tabby with white paws. I was found by Lake Lewisville with two of my littermates when I was just three days old, after days of torrential rains. Sick and close to death from the rains and no protection, a kind lady brought me and two other kittens to her house where she called Animal Allies of Texas (“AAT”) for help. They took us to a wonderful AAT foster mom who treated me extensively for a crushed toe on my little foot. With lots of love and doctoring, I am nearly back to being as good as new! But that hasn’t stopped me from running and playing!

During the week, you can meet me and my brother Rhett at EarthWise Pet Supply in Flower Mound, where we run and play with the other store cats. People tell me that I have a sweet personality, and that I am good with both children and adults. Although I’m a little reluctant to be held, if you wrap me in a blanket, I will sleep like a baby in your arms. I purr when you pet me, and I love to be loved on! My foster mom says that I am now ready for my furr-ever home. I would be okay without my brother, Rhett, but if you could love two of us, that would be the frosting on the cake! If I sound like a kitten that you would like to meet, please complete an on-line application and one of AAT’s kind volunteers will contact you.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site or a paper application at an adoption event.

Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption.
