A Little Bit About Me

Abbey is a gorgeous medium hair tortoise shell kitty with a lot of personality. She likes to hang out around people on her own terms. She gets a little startled if you approach her too fast from behind, but when she is comfortable she does enjoy petting and being scratched behind her ears. She is playful with wand toys in the air and will speak to you with a soft meow. She definitely knows what she likes and dislikes and will share this with you. The way to Abby's heart may be through tasty treats and delicious canned food.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
