Fiona loves playing with toys, napping in the sunshine, and just spending time with you! Fiona would make a wonderful companion...she is really good company!

Fiona attends the group training sessions at K9 Activity Club & Lodge each week and her volunteer trainer, Amanda reports that she is learning a lot and doing really well! Fiona is learning the basics like sit, wait (at the door or gate) and lay down to...o! She is also learning how to walk nicely on a leash. She loves going for car rides too!

Fiona loves playing with other dogs...but we feel she should be the only dog in the home. She'd love to live with (respectful) children ages 15 and older.

I am a spayed female, black and white pit bull terrier mix.

I am estimated to be about 2 years and 2 months old.

I have been at the shelter since 07/15/2016.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
