PTL Sophie's Story...
PTL Sophie has retired after 171 races. Sophie was 4 years old in June and weighs 60 lbs. At the dog park Sophie has a great time meeting the other people and dogs. She is confidant and gets along with her foster Grey sister and another small dog in her temporary home. Her foster Dad has seen her blossom into a girl who asks for attention but doesn't demand it. Sophie enjoys her walks and is well behaved on the lead. Sophie is confidant enough to be an only dog but she gets along well with medium to larger dogs. Sophie has learned to fetch balls in retirement and really enjoys her new hobby! She is going to make a great addition to the family who takes the time to meet her and fall head over heels in love with her beautiful face. If you have more questions or would like to arrange a meeting with Sophie please call Sue at 810-931-2802. Sophie is fostered in Sarasota. Her adoption fee of $250 covers her spay, teeth cleaning, heart worm test and microchip insertion. She is current on her vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PTL Sophie, a Sarasota Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
