Samanthie's Story...
Hi, my name is SAMANTHIE and I’m a little 3 month old BROWN TABBY girl who was recently found alone in the Bronx and taken to a high kill shelter. Once evaluated, it was determined that I was SUPER SWEET and PLAYFUL and that I would make a NICE PET for just about anybody. Then a Posh Pet’s volunteer offered her home so that I could stay there temporarily. Here are some facts about me: When I was found in the Bronx, I had a cold that caused an eye infection and it left me with some corneal scarring, but it doesn’t bother me and I can do anything and everything. I like to sleep under the covers with my foster mom cause it’s warm and cozy. I like to play with other kitties too, which means I need to go to a home with another cat or kitten so I always have a companion to hang with. I am spayed, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samanthie, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
