Hi, I'm Dinah!

I may seem a little shy at first, but I am very affectionate and I'm really eager to give you all of my love. I like to take my time to become comfortable in a new space, but once I do I love to run around and play - especially with my toy mice.

I don't like really loud, sudden noises, although I will tolerate your vacuum cleaner if you give me a place where I can "hide" and observe. I will thrive in a quiet home that is free of small children. If you rub my face and scratch my butt, I will be the happiest feline companion.

Since I really don't like loud environments, I am available for adoption from my foster home instead of the shelter. If you are interested in meeting me please contact our foster coordinator, Kaitlyn at

About The Maryland SPCA

About Our Shelter...

The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.

To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.

There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.

We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
