Lentil's Story...
Lentil comes from a family named after legumes! There's her momma, Lupine, as well as her sisters and brothers: Mesquite, Liquorice, Chickpea and Carob. She and her family were rescued from Devore shelter in July of 2016. Immediately after they were rescued, they all spent a couple weeks at the vet because everyone had the sniffles and had to be treated for their colds.

When they all recovered their foster mom, Rebecca, happily welcomed them all into her home - and boy, Chickpea and her siblings were ready! After spending most of their first couple months cooped up in kennel cages, they were all more than ready to enjoy the freedom of romping around and stretching their legs.

Lentil is an active, happy and playful little girl. She loves to interact with other kitties in the home. She would do well in a home with other kitties but could also do great in a home where she receives a lot of stimulation, interaction and affection from her human family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lentil, a Hesperia Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hesperia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Hesperia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hesperia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hesperia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hesperia paves the way for another one to be saved.
