Simba's Story...
Did you ever wanted to own a large cat? Like to see what it's like? Well not only is she named after a famous big cat but she kind of looks like one too. The similarities don't stop there. She also plays like one. Give her a tennis ball or a football and watch her bat it around with her big paws. She pounces on her toys too. She even plays with her butt in the air!

This big beautiful girl would love to have a new dog-sibling to run and wrestle with. Don't have another dog? No problem. She loves to play ball and tug with her people. She's happy to chew on a bone and play ball on her own to let you get other things done.

Simba loves life! She will wait patiently and quietly for you to get home and then gets very excited to see you every day. Simba knows it is very important to keep herself and the house clean. She knows the only things she should get out are her toys and bones. Simba gets a little too excited to meet new dogs. She wants to jump right into playing. However, with a little space and time to calm down she can meet a new friend properly. Simba loves kids and never gets offended if they bump into her or step on her. She also doesn't mind if she bumps into them! This big beautiful chestnut girl doesn't think 75 lbs is that big.

Simba loves her people and wants nothing more than to be with them and please them. When she gets scolded she will find a place to lay down and give you her best sad puppy eyes.

Since she does forget how big and strong she is there are times you may feel your walking a horse. A little reminder and she will try her best to walk beside you like you want. She is happy to wear a weighted backpack to help her remember her job is to walk beside you. She can even carry her own water and bowl on walks and hikes. Yours too if you like!

In her current foster home Simba has learned many basic obedience skills and some that may be new to you. Just let her know if you would like her to continue those skills in your home. (Her foster mom will help you with how to do that)

Simba knows when it's bedtime it's time to sleep. You won't get any balking, whining, or complaining from her! She's happy to snuggle up in her dog bed or yours if you prefer and sleep the night away. In the morning she will stay in bed as long as she can. She likes to sleep in when she can but is ready to go if you need her to.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Kettering Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Kettering, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Kettering.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kettering already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kettering breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kettering paves the way for another one to be saved.
