FOR ADOPTION: RUSTY is a seven year old male lab cross that is looking for his forever family. This boy currently weights whopping 120lbs, and although he is working hard to get back to a healthy weight through diet and exercise, he will be a big dog even when he's fit. Rusty is great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. He likes to play with his playful buddies, but is also happy to hang out with his less energetic friends. He isn't as accommodating with cats as he thinks they have been designed for chasing, so we are looking for a feline free environment for this big boy. Rusty does his very best to be gentle with kids, but he sometimes forgets his size and can easily knock them down when he gets excited. He does not like to have kids near his food or treats, so he would do best in a home with older children or one where they just get to come and visit on occasion. Rusty gets lonely very easily and he has made it pretty clear he would love to have a family that is able to be with him the vast majority of the time. This big boy is house trained, non destructive, vaccinated, neutered and ready to move in with his perfect match. If you think you could be that match please apply today at www.nwas.ca for a chance to meet Rusty!

Our Adoption Process...
All animals are vet checked before adoption. This usually includes deworming, revolution (for mites and fleas) and vaccinations. Adult animals are all spayed or neutered before adoption and all puppies/kittens are required to be spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. Potential adopters must be willing to travel to Smithers to pick up their new pet.
To apply for a pet please complete an adoption application online (www.nwas.ca) or download and return it to NWAS by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or mail (Box 3064, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0) if your application is approved we will then set up a meeting.
Fees: ADULT DOGS $200, PUPPIES $100 + a $75 deposit towards spay/neuter (local adoptions) ADULT CATS $75 KITTENS $50 plus a $25 deposit towards spay/neuter (local adoptions)
