Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ridge might just be the perfect Beagle! Just look at this list of things he has going for him:
Ridge is 10 or 11 years old. He is slim (25 pounds) and in great shape. He is a beautiful tri color boy, and is very easy to take care of. He has shown to be good with kids and other dogs, but all in all prefers the quiet life of a retired family member.
Ridge loves two things most: naps, and walks! He loves couch time, with or without his people beside him. He loves a walk, too, but at a slower pace. He doesn’t chase squirrels or other critters when he is out walking, he just enjoys the stroll, and loves to stop and smell the roses. Or the dandelions. Or the leaves. Or, well, you understand. He is a Beagle!. He likes to stay outside in his fenced back yard, and has not attempted to escape or dig holes.
He is a little timid, and slow to warm up to people, but once he does Ridge is very affectionate and loves people! He is afraid if there is a sudden loud noise, and startles, so might not the best fit if there are small children in the home. He is a quiet dog, and doesn’t bark much at all though! One thing you should know is that the vet did find a heart murmur, but so far he has no symptoms and is not on any medication.
He is house trained, with zero accidents in his foster home, and crate trained, although he really doesn’t need the crate and is fine when left alone. He hasn’t gotten in to any trouble at all, and has just retired all those Beagle traits like counter surfing and trash diving! How could you ask for anything more? Please consider Ridge for your next best furry friend, and contact Midwest BREW to see about adopting! Tell them Ridge sent you!
