CaRMaH (formerly Metrowest Animal Awareness Society) is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue group serving the Marlborough/Hudson area. Our cats are 'lap fostered' in our homes!

I am a one year old lady named after the Captain America comic book secret agent. I may be a gorgeous petite brunette (just look at my beauty mark!) but I'm no damsel in distress. Although I did fall on hard times: Whoever I belonged to left me outside and I ended up pregnant. Lucky for me, the CaRMaH agency took me in just three days before I had FIVE kittens.

I was a terrific mom to my kittens, but they are now old enough that they don't need me, so I'm ready for my next assignment. I am very friendly and love to be pet. I will head butt you to let you know, or I'll twirl around your ankles. I even flop to my side sometimes and roll over because I want your attention. I have an adorable meow that I use to let you know it is dinnertime.

I'm no shy girl, so I expect I'll make myself at home quickly. I only met the resident cats in my foster home a few times and I was not friendly to them. But at the time my assignment was protecting my babies and I take my work very seriously. Hopefully I will be more relaxed with other cats once I'm not worrying about my kittens.

I also love treats, but since I'm an active secret agent type, I prefer for you to throw them and I'll find them. I'll take them gracefully from your hand too, since I am a lady, but

I'm very people oriented (see my video). Do you need a companion?

About Metrowest Animal Awareness Society

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a non-profit no-kill feline rescue group serving the Metrowest area of MA. since 2002. We do not have a shelter, we are an all volunteer group, fostering cats and kittens in our home. Our focus is TNR, fostering and adoption. We have many cats and kittens available for the right loving home. You can visit our kitties in their foster homes, or at our "Meow Mixers" held at local pet stores, two Saturdays per month. Please check our website,, for dates and details. We welcome new volunteers and donations! You can download an adoption application from our website and send it in via email, or 'snail mail'.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold "Meow Mixers" 2 Saturdays per month, at local pet stores. You can fill out an application on site, and visit with our adoptable cats and kittens. The Meow Mixer is an opportunity to meet our kitties, but we do not finalize adoptions at these events, since our kitties need to visit the vet one more time for a health certificate, prior to adoption. You can also meet our kitties in their foster homes, a great way to see them when they are relaxed and playful!

Our Adoption Process...

Each applicant must fill out an application to be reviewed by our adoption committee. For applicants with a prior vet history, vet references are checked. If there is no prior vet history, we ask for 2 personal references. The application approval process can take 2-6 days. Applications can be downloaded from our website, returned by email or 'snail mail', or can be filled out in person at our Meow Mixers. At the time of adoption, the applicant will sign an adoption agreement and pay an adoption fee of $150 per kitten, $100 per adult over 1 year of age.
