My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING!

ROSCOE IS CURRENTLY AT OUR RESCUE RANCH AT 27 TWIN SISTERS CREEK ROAD ARENAS VALLEY, NM.

September 2016: ROSCOE came to us after being tied to a gate and attacked by the owner's other dog. She could not pay for his surgery or provide after care or even a safe home environment so we agreed PDR would pay for his surgery and she will relinquish him to us and volunteer her time toward our vet bill. Once he recovered, we had him neutered and given appropriate vaccinations. She never showed up to volunteer. Good thing for Roscoe!

December 2016 Update: ROSCOE is approximately 1+ year old and is healed from his dog attack surgery! He is energetic, loving, attentive, and is doing well being trained on leash (with a Gentle Leader) and riding in the car. He would make a great doggie with additional one on one training. Our adoption info can be emailed to you and our information is available on Facebook at www.facebook.com/puppydogranch.

June 2017: What a beautiful, socialized, loving, affectionate boy! ROSCOE CANNOT BE USED AS A WATCH DOG. HE IS PART OF THE FAMILY.

November 2019 Update: Roscoe is approximately 3 years old and has been living in our sanctuary for 2 years with a fellow rescued dog. Due to severe health problems, she unfortunately is no longer with us and we didn't want Roscoe to be alone, so we introduced Roscoe to our catahoula sisters Monday and Tuesday on his one acre "doggie ranch" while their shared dog cabin is being renovated to accommodate them. Roscoe is a great boy with good energy and would love to be one on one with his furever person. He is very affectionate but needs to have physical activity like brisk walks on a leash, playing, etc. and not just laying around or sitting and petting him although the petting he will love!

If you have questions, would like an application and our adoption guidelines (must have a fenced yard, no tethering or chaining, etc.) or to meet him and possibly schedule a sleepover, please call Laurie at (575) 313-7232. If I can't answer the phone, please leave a detailed message or email me with your questions. Thank you! Woof!
