River is a gorgeous girl, approximately 1-2 years old, who was found as a stray. She has been vaccinated and is heartworm negative. We will soon get her microchipped and spayed and she will be ready for the next chapter of her life - her furever home :) She does great with other dogs, cats, and kids and is going to make anyone a great pet! 7/4: River has LOTS of energy!!! She would do great in an active home who will take her camping, hiking, running, or to the dog park frequently. She will be up for adoption later this week, after she is spayed. 8/6: River is continuing to do well in her foster home. She is an amazing girl and needs a family with lots of energy to show her what having a loving forever family is all about <3 River is officially up for adoption.

About Paw Patrol

About Our Rescue Group...

Paw Patrol is a dedicated group of volunteers working to improve the quality of life for dogs living in our community.

Our Mission is:
To improve the lives of dogs living in Dayton, Ohio and the surrounding municipalities (with special emphasis on helping outdoor dogs).
To provide shelter in the form of an adequate doghouse to outdoor dogs in an effort to keep them warm and dry.
To promote the importance of spaying/neutering dogs and to offer this service at a free or subsidized cost to dog owners.
To provide information to the public about the negative aspects of dog tethering.
To assist owners with necessary resources to allow them to keep their dog happy, healthy, and out of the already over-crowded shelter system.
To provide outdoor dogs with either a trolley run or a fence built by volunteers in order to improve their quality of life and remove any form of tethering.

Our Adoption Process...

Our Adoption Fees cover spay/neuter for our dogs, vaccinations, heart worm testing/medication, microchipping and any vet care the dog is needing. Once you fill out an application on our adoptables tab on our website,, a representative will conduct a reference check with your vet provided. A call to the potential adopter will be made when the representative is done verifying the information on the contract.
