Katy's Story...
Hi there! My name is Katy, and I'm an adorable, sweet, and perky female border collie mix pup who was born in May 2016. I was found abandoned and covered in fleas outside a neighborhood in Katy. I admit that I can be a little timid at times, but I eagerly respond to a little encouragement and guidance.
I get along very well with other dogs in my foster home, and I only bark at the cats because I want to play with them. My housebreaking training is a work in progress, but I am proving to be a quick learner. Hey, I'm a smart little girl who can figure things out if you show me!
After her second set of distemper shots on Oct. 31, 2016, Katy will be updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and ready for her lifetime home. Her adoption fee is $175 for puppies 9 months old or younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Katy, and we can arrange for you to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katy, a Houston Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Houston, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
