Abby's Story...
*Please note, Abby will not be ready for adoption until Saturday October 9th when she is 8 weeks old*

Abby is such a friendly little kitten! She was found outside alone when she was only about a week old so she's been hand raised. As a result Abby is extremely affectionate, playful, and trusting of people. She will play with anyone and anything! Her two best friends at the moment are two small dogs so she would be great in a home with a doggy companion to annoy. Abby is fierce and fearless! For a bottle baby she is in excellent health.

Our kitten adoption policy is to adopt kittens out in pairs or to homes with a similarly aged kitten. We are hoping to introduce and pair Abby with Paisley so they can cuddle and play together and teach each other not to play too rough. We'd like to adopt them out together.

Due to Abby's small size we would prefer an adopter with no or older children.

Abby's adoption fee is $150 and covers all basic up-to-date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, spay, and microchip. She is currently being fostered in Everett, WA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abby, a Kirkland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Kirkland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Kirkland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kirkland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kirkland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kirkland paves the way for another one to be saved.
