Hi, My name is Molly & I’m a rat terrier! I’m feisty, funny, very lively & yep I’m pretty proud of these ears!  I’m somewhere between 2-5 years old and am about 10 pounds (which my foster mom is trying to add to). I was found in Denton County all by myself and had cactus thorns all over me – OUCH! I didn’t behave very well when my rescuers tried to pull them out – would you? I get along great with my foster sisters & brothers (dogs and a cat). I get kind of scared and fearful when there’s lots of noise and things I don’t understand going on around me. I ride well in the car and am almost potty & crate trained. I have most of my vetting complete but still require a check-up, sterilization, microchipping and heartworm test. I am a love-bug, but really enjoy my time in the yard playing with other dogs.

The Rat Terrier is the ideal farm dog that he was always intended to be. President Theodore Roosevelt is said to have given the breed its name after his own terrier had eradicated the rat infestation at the White House; clearly, the Rat Terrier excels as a public servant — as long as it’s in his own best interest. He’s an American tradition just like apple pie, but watch your plate or you may find you’re missing dessert.

Come Meet Our Pets...

To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
