My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jett is an adorable 2 year old, 16lb. love bug. He is curious, playful and loving. His sweet eyes show his kind personality. He was a bottle fed baby because his mama did not make it.

He gets along with other dogs and is people friendly with a little warm up. He would be fine with other dogs or as the only pet in your home.

He loves his daily walks and is a pro at walking on a leash. The foster mom reports he is non reactive to any distractions!

He also wants to ride in the car every chance you get! He is quiet and calm while riding and is great company!

He LOVES his people! He will snuggle all day with you, if you let him! He does well in his crate but would love to sleep with in the big bed!

One thing is for sure when you meet him, you will have a treasure to love and be loved, always.

If you are interested in adopting Jett, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Jett 's adoption fee is $375.00. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Jett will go to his new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
