I'm Happy Feet and I'm a 3-month old black and white kitten. I'm here with my siblings, Miss Mittens, Katara and Tito. You will recognize me by my feet. I have six toes so my feet are very happy!! Hey, why don't you come out and meet my family and me. We are just cute as can be and will make very good friends for you. Take one or all of us and we will provide you with hours of fun, and years of cuddling. What a great opportunity we have. Hope to see you soon.

About Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We are an animal shelter that cares for approximately 1,000 animals per year. We work with Mahaska County and the City of Oskaloosa, IA to provide animal control services and we also work through the Mahaska Humane Society to educate and promote responsible pet ownership as well as low cost spay/neuter services for low income pet owners.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The public can visit our adoptable pets at the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter any time during normal business hours. We are open to the public Tuesday-Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 11am-4pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application in which questions regarding responsible pet ownership are asked. Once approved the adopter is allowed to adopt and must pay an adoption fee which varies based on the age and species of the animal being adopted. At the time of adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
