Zeke's Story...
Meet Zeke, a well-seasoned adult terrier, who is now at the peak of canine perfection. He's sweet, calm, cooperative, crate trained, and HOUSETRAINED, too! Zeke recently weighed-in at an easy-to-carry 7 pounds, and we are pleased to report that this canine cutie has tested negative for heartworm disease. And Zeke's foster mom reports that this precious, little fellow LOVES to ride in the car! For more information about meeting or adopting this canine cutie, please text (225) 205-9330, or just stop in at the Dog Adoption House, 8476 Highland Road, and look for itty bitty Zeke in our small dog room. All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeke, a Baton Rouge Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
