We strive to place each of our foster pets into the most appropriate home possible. Since we are a network of foster homes, we get to know each of the animals and know what home would work best for the pet.

If only these animal could talk! SPOT received a call from a local veterinary clinic where a stray cat had been brought in with a collar growing into its skin, behind her front legs. Thankfully the cat had a microchip and the owner was located, only to discover they had recently got her and didn't allow her enough transition time to adjust to her new home, so they put her outside. And they didn't want her back. After extensive surgery and recovery, this sweet girl was brought into the SPOT foster system where after a few days she had adjusted to her new foster home. The clinic gave her a gold-star report on her personality and health, as she never complained or fought them during her medical treatment. Bets is a sweet,  very affectionate 4-5 year old cat that deserves a home where she will have a lap to sleep on and friendly hands to pet her.

You'll notice that she also has her ear tipped, to show that she has been spayed. This identification is usually used for feral cats that are going to be released outside after spay/neuter surgery. Some shelters/clinics will alter cats for free, only if they are allowed to be ear clipped. Bets is not a feral cat....but if you adopted her, maybe she'll tell you her life-story!

Bets would prefer an older person or couple without children. She would like a home where she has a pillow or lap to snuggle in and loves being talked to.

Adoption fee is $110...all cats are tested for FeLV/FIV, age appropriate vaccinations for FVRCP and FeLV, spayed/neutered, treated for internal and external parasites, microchipped including registration, post adoption exam at a local vet, collar and tag, and 7-day in home trial to make sure it's a good fit.

About Saving Pets One at a Time

About Our Rescue Group...

S.P.O.T. - Saving Pets One at a Time
The mission of our all-volunteer organization is to provide the Skagit Valley and the surrounding areas an alternative method of caring for and adopting out companion animals. We strive to provide an alternative adoption option without the fear of euthanizing healthy and adoptable pets.
Each pet receives daily one-on-one care and attention while in foster care. We work on training and socialization skills to help each pet be the best they can be. Pets do not leave foster care until we feel they are emotionally and physically ready to be placed into a permanent home.
