Look at this big old face. And look at those eyes; they are such a gorgeous shade of amber! Meet Mr. Bone. Mr. Bone is a mastiff mix with a big old head on a short bulldog body. Mr Bone is about 2-years old and weighs about 90lbs. Mr Bone arrived at the animal shelter with a broken jaw. Can you imagine the pain? But he didn't' even flinch when the shelter staff and vets looked at his injuries. This is one tough, but gentle, "cookie!" Then Mr. Bone's visited our vet, and they determined he is also heartworm positive. Well, Mr. Bone has undergone surgery and his jaw is healed. He's almost done with heartworm treatment and will be neutered shortly. Mr Bone is truly a gentle giant. He gets along with other dogs with proper introductions, and although not tested, he will probably get along with cats are dog-friendly. He good with kids, but due to his size, older kids are better. Do you have a place in your home for a sweet, gentle guy? He may take up a little more room than a small dog, but Mr. Bone doesn't know he isn't small and he will make a wonderful, calm companion.
