My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Gizmo started life in a crate that was too small for him, with a family too busy for him. I got him at 4 months of age, and started training him alongside my anxiety/depression service dog. He responded exceptionally well, he loves learning new stuff, loves being a good boy, I received a call that he had been surrendered to the San Antonio Animal Services. I took him back, and have been evaluating him since then. He is very good with all animals, even cats. He did growl at my younger shepherd a few times, but stopped upon command. He has retained all of his training as a depression recognition and support dog, but may not pass testing for service work, as he is now afraid of very loud noises, such as garbage trucks and tractors. However, storms do not affect him at all, only loud machinery. He knows simple commands, such as; come, heel, sit, stay, down, shake, lay flat, hush, no, wait, okay, and go play. He loves to cuddle on the bed and watch television, he loves to play fetch and tug of war, and he loves to wrestle with his family-both human and furry, He is very reward driven, whether it's treats, toys, kisses, whatever. He can learn commands very quickly. His only downfall is he gets carsick sometimes, but only on long trips. He is crate trained and house trained, but will have an accident if he is left for lengthy periods of time. He likes to get a big mouthful of water and walk away from the bowl, so be careful where his water bowl sits. He doesn't actually drool, just lets the water escape. ~From Gizmo's foster.~
