Molly (DMH tortoise, 2.5 year old female) This beautiful young lady with the softest of all fur desperately needs to get into a home as the one and only feline love of your life! Pregnant and frightened, she was left at the Shelter in the Spring of 2015 with no chance of adoption. FUR swooped in quickly to rescue her and after she gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens, it became clear that she was not community cat material. Spunky, loving and talkative, she gets totally stressed out when in close proximity to another cat. She needs a special person to give her a quiet, inside only home with a little bit of time to settle in. It won’t take her long to realize that she has finally hit the jackpot and bless you with her loving companionship. Please help this girl complete her miracle journey that began several years ago as an unwanted and pregnant young cat just hours away from euthanasia.

Our shelter is a no cage, no kill sanctuary. Most of the cats in our care are here because they was no other alternative and for many it was their last hope. All of our cats receive love, affection and attention everyday. Every volunteer we have spends personal time with each and every one of them so we can tell you in detail all about their personality when you come to adopt. The more we can adopt out the more we can go out and rescue.

About Feline Urgent Rescue of Western North Carolina

About Our Rescue Group...

As guardians of displaced felines, our mission is to provide a safe haven for cats, thereby reducing the homeless population, the shelter euthanasia rates, and by filling a gap in the rescue community as a last resort sanctuary.

Our group consists solely of volunteers who share the passion for helping homeless cats to find loving homes, providing compassionate care to unadoptable cats, and assisting feral colonies and their caretakers with food, shelter and medical needs.

Our Adoption Process...

Please call or email us to schedule an appointment to meet or adopt a kitty you see on our adoption list. Because we are an all-volunteer crew, we're sorry, but walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Applications can be found on our website, if you want to fill one out before you arrive. The adoption fee is $35 per cat, and all collected fees are spent on rescuing, caring for and re-homing community cats.
