I'm an affectionate black kitty whose estimated birthday is 7-1-16. I arrived at Acadiana Animal Aid on 9-14-16 after being rescued from a local kill shelter.

Although she is healthy and playful, Coal has tested positive for Feline Leukemia.
She love people and other kitties but should either go to a home with no other cats or FeLk Pos cats only. Coal and her roommate, Prince Spirit, love having visitors. In order to help keep them healthy, visitors are accepted by appointment only. You can visit the website and send an email to schedule some time with them.

All of ours cats have been Feline leukemia and feline aids tested negative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated with FVRCP and FELV, rabies vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Coal has an adoption fee of $75.

About Our Shelter...

Acadiana Animal Aid is a no-kill shelter founded in 1974. We are a chartered, non-profit animal shelter and adoption center. Our shelter provides a safe haven for dogs and cats until good homes are found for them. We do not discriminate against any animal due to size, age, color, or breed. All our animals are spayed/neutered, and fully vetted. We do not euthanize for any reason, other than medically-directed circumstances.

Cat visiting hours are 7 days a week from 8am-2pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs and $75 for cats aged one to six years old and adoption fee waived for cats over 3 years old. The adoption process starts with an adoption application, available on our website
