Lillie's Story...
Lillie (DSH, 10 month old light orange tabby female). This energetic little spitfire will keep you hopping. After raising her six kittens while only a kitten herself, she is ready to make up for lost fun. This all around sweetheart plays all the time either by herself or with others, loves human companionship and tries to keep at least one human in sight at all times and is always ready for loving once the day is done. She is the definition of carefree.

Our shelter is a no cage, no kill sanctuary. Most of the cats in our care are here because they was no other alternative and for many it was their last hope. All of our cats receive love, affection and attention everyday. Every volunteer we have spends personal time with each and every one of them so we can tell you in detail all about their personality when you come to adopt. The more we can adopt out the more we can go out and rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lillie, a Waynesville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Waynesville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Waynesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waynesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waynesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waynesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
