Sabrina's Story...
Sabrina (DLH, 6 year old black female) She came to us when her owner became too ill to care for her. Shy at first but quick to adjust, this calm observer would make the perfect companion. She loves a friendly face, a gentle pat and every meal. Hanging out in cat furniture near a window watching the neighborhood happenings is also pretty cool - especially after some play time. She is the perfect stress reducer after a busy day. Not too demanding, easily pleased and always willing to listen. As we all know, one cat is never enough. So if you are looking for two, Willow, Sabrina’s BFF, would be a great companion to Sabrina and you.

Our shelter is a no cage, no kill sanctuary. Most of the cats in our care are here because they was no other alternative and for many it was their last hope. All of our cats receive love, affection and attention everyday. Every volunteer we have spends personal time with each and every one of them so we can tell you in detail all about their personality when you come to adopt. The more we can adopt out the more we can go out and rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sabrina, a Waynesville Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Waynesville, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Waynesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waynesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waynesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waynesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
