Meet gorgeous Shammie, a 4-year-old, 53-pound Aussie/Golden mix. His previous owner had health issues and could no longer care for him.

Shammie is a little shy when first meeting people, but warms up quickly and is an easy going guy. He is very affectionate and loves to give snuggles and kisses. He travels well in the car, and doesn't mind vet appointments. He also loves to play with toys.

We have learned that Shammie can become protective of his owners and has even protected one owner from the other. Therefore, it would be best for Shammie to be adopted in a home with no children and ideally with only one owner. Shammie should also be the only dog in the home; however, he is great with cats!
