Meet gorgeous Shammie, a 2-year-old, 53-pound Aussie/Golden mix. His previous owner had health issues and could no longer care for him.
Shammie is a little shy when first meeting people, but warms up quickly. He loves to give snuggles and kisses. He travels well in the car, and doesn't mind vet appointments. He also loves to play with toys and loves to go for walks.
We have learned that Shammie has fear issues with some folks, so he needs to be in a single family home, where there are no kids, and where there is limited activity. Shammie should also be the only dog in the home; however, he is great with cats! Shammie does get along with some dogs but due to his jealousy he should be the only dog in the home. He can be a lover if you have the time to get to know him. He typically bonds to only one individual and introducing strangers to him once he has bonded must be a slow and guarded introduction.
Shammie is housetrained, neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. For more information or to schedule a meet-and-greet, please contact Stephanie at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (717)232-1644.
