MARLIN's Story...

Marlin is a 12 week old Chihuahua mix who at first meet is shy but once is gets to know you is a bundle of love. He loves to play but would rather be with his family snuggling up in a cozy bed. He is also puppy pad trained. Marlin does great with new people, dogs and cats.

Marlin is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio.  The adoption fee is $150.00.   An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required.  All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites.  If you would like more information or an adoption application, please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com.

Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MARLIN, a San Antonio Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
