See that sweet smushface? That's me - Emma! I am a very sweet 2 year old gal just hoping my turn for forever is soon. I was lucky enough to go on a sleepover with a fantastic staff member from the Providence Animal Center. Boy did I need a break from those kennels! All of the people there are so nice, but I'm going crazy in there because I dream of a nice soft bed in a warm cozy home with my forever people. My friends all tell me I am a very sweet girl and I think they are right! I have the softest fur so I would make an excellent cuddle buddy! I am very cuddly and will put my paw on you when I want to be pet. I also may give some kisses. I'll make myself very comfortable on the couch or on your bed if you allow me, but I am respectful of the word no.
I am very smart and very food motivated. I know sit, down, paw, and come! I might pull on the leash but if you give me gentle redirection, I will listen to you. I come when I am called. I won't beg if you have food and you tell me no - I'll respect your space and lay down and maybe even go to sleep. I am great in the car- I'll just lay down and go to sleep there, too (but I do prefer to sit in the front seat). I did not have any accidents in the house, either. I'm such a good girl (or so they say...my friends tell me I need to tell everyone how great I am so they ignore how I am in the kennel and take me out for a walk and snuggle!) I would love to be your only child - both furry or non - because I would love your attention all to myself. I am fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. I'm hoping someone comes in soon to foster me or take me home forever and I really hope that someone is you!
Oh, I almost forgot! A generous donor loves me so much that they are sponsoring my adoption fee. That means I can move into your forever loving home for free!
Providence Animal Center is funded solely by adoption fees and donations. Adoption fees vary per animal, please call the Adoption Center and reference this animal's ID number in order to obtain accurate fee information. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed blend for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed blend. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
To foster or adopt this dog please call Providence Animal Center at 610-566-1370 during adoption hours. You may also email firstname.lastname@example.org. Can't foster or adopt? Donate to help our homeless pets, www.providenceac.org/donate.
Our adoption requirements and a printable application form may be found on our website. With your adoption fee you get a lot for FREE! All the pets adopted from Providence Animal Center are given wellness exams, are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Additionally, dogs over 7 months old are heartworm tested and all felines are tested for FELV/FIV. Adopters may receive discounted wellness care from our adoptions health department, and also get a complimentary wellness visit at a participating private veterinary practice up to 30 days post-adoption and the pets are given personality evaluations. It doesn't stop there- a gift of one month of pet health insurance is included along with unlimited phone consultations and e-mail exchanges with our trained feline and canine behavior experts.
Not ready to adopt yet? You can still guarantee the safety and well-being of any of our dogs or puppies by temporarily fostering one or more right in your own home. Visit our foster page to learn about the program. Then, email your application along with any questions to email@example.com for immediate review.
