UPDATE FROM HIS FOSTER: "Sweetest dog ever! Does great with my dogs! Wonderful in the house- very loving and gentle, clearly just wants to be loved."

Minion is not looking for an evil master- he is looking for a home to call his own. Someone to love him, pet him and hug him. At 2 years old he is a healthy 55lbs, super affectionate and loves to have a good time! He is such a lovebug that he would love a home to call his own, a bed to sleep on, he would do best in a quieter home with older children. A great friend of dogs, he plays nicely with dogs but he's a bit too interested in cats to share a home with one! Minion is just looking for love hopefully in the right locations!

Minion has been practicing his good manners! He has settled in nicely with his foster family, likes all of his foster pups. He is very active and loves to play but settles in nicely when it is time to chill. He would love to cuddle up on your lap- just don't tell him he is not lap dog size- he won't believe you!

Very treat motivated and eager to please- Minion would love to get the opportunity to show his smarts at Doggy School. His foster has been working on sit, leash manners and being a great dog. A quick learner, he is a shiny star just waiting to be polished!

Give this wonderful guy a chance and he will repay you with some sloppy kisses, snuggles, and the kind of gratitude you only get with a loving rescue pup!

Like most shelter dogs, Minion may need a refresher on housetraining and crate training. We ask all of DC PAWS’ fosters to work on both house and crate training with their foster dog.

About DC PAWS Rescue

Our rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based dog and cat rescue in the DC area. We partner with a local rescuer in Pickens County, SC, who saves adoptable cats and dogs from the county’s animal control facility, which lacks the resources to facilitate adoptions to the public. Without a mechanism for local adoptions, all animals not claimed within the mandated hold period are euthanized. For the animals in this rural area, rescue is really the only lifeline. Our rescue partner not only works with DC PAWS to save as many dogs and cats as possible, but she has also established a successful spay/neuter clinic in the community to decrease the number of homeless and unwanted animals over the long term.

BE A FOSTER:

Fosters make it possible for DC PAWS to save and care for homeless, neglected and abandoned animals! To learn about fostering dogs or cats for DC PAWS Rescue, please contact us at:!

BE A SPONSOR:

For any of our animals! Sponsors help us provide critical medical care, food, boarding and other support for animals facing euthanasia. Individuals who sponsor a dog or cat receive special recognition on the animal's profile. Sponsorships can also be made in honor or memory of a loved one, and you may designate to whom DC Paws Rescue should provide notice of your gift.

About DC PAWS Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

DC PAWS Rescue was formed to serve the interests of animals through activities such as animal rescue; providing sanctuary for abused animals; public education concerning the needs of animals in shelters, positive-reinforcement training for animals; placement of rescued animals in adoptive homes, and other related charitable activities.

Come Meet Our Pets...

At Adoption events listed on our website: and at foster homes, once an adoption application has been submitted and approved.

Please note that we are an all-volunteer organization and while it is our goal to respond to all emails we receive, we may not be able to do so due to the large volume of emails we receive. We recommend reviewing the animal's profile on our website and then submitting an adoption application as a first step. Thank you for considering adoption and DC PAWS Rescue!

Our adoption process entails:
1. An application
2. An interview
3. Vet check (if applicable)
4. Landlord check (if applicable)
