Facts about Maggie

  • Breed: Beagle
  • Color: White - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Maggie is a friendly 6 yr old lemon/white beagle. She came to us with a terrible flea infection so we did put her in a little blue suit while she was healing, but she looks much better now. She had chewed off some hair but it is growing back in and she is looking great. She is a small beagle at 23 pounds and even needs to lose a little more of her girle figure so should be around 21 pounds. Maggie is very excited to be with people but may not have spent much time in a house or being held. She wags her tail non-stop but when you try to pick her up she does get a little nervous. She will snuggle on the couch and is crate trained. Maggie will need to learn some doggie manners since she does jump up on you when she sees you, but she is very sweet. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, HW negative and micro-chipped. She is fine with other dogs.

About Homes Fur Hounds

About Our Rescue Group...

Homes Fur Hounds Inc. was formed to help the overwhelming number of animals that are abandoned, surrendered to county agencies and simply unwanted. These animals are facing death due to no fault of their own other than not being convenient. Our mission is to help stop the unnecessary killing of animals. Thousands of animals are put to sleep (some more humanely than others) every day. We strive to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, heartworm preventive and general health care. We also strive to help owners who are experiencing difficulties with their pet find solutions to their problems. By helping them find solutions we keep the animals out of the county pounds and from being abandoned. It is our policy to adopt out only healthy dogs and to do our best to know and understand what type of home the dog needs. We are always striving to find that “forever home” for the animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are all kept in foster homes. Once an applicant is approved we set up a place for them to meet the pet.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application. Once the application is received we check personal and vet references and if renting, we verify with leasing company that pets are allowed. We then perform a home check. If that is approved, we set up a meeting with the pet. If the person wants to adopt, we require a contract and our adoption fee is $175.00. Our dogs are all spayed/neutered, HW tested, up to date on shots and micro-chipped.
