Sophie BEST GIRL EVER's Story...
Sophie BEST GIRL EVER's Story...
Before she goes to sleep at night, Sophie waits for a hug or a pat on the head and then she settles in. This is why we never understand why someone would let their dog go to a high kill shelter, and we never will. When we looked into Sophie's eyes, we knew we couldn't leave her there. This girl is a a total love. When new dogs come around, this is the girl who meets them first because we now how well she gets along with everyone. We think she is about 6 years old, and comes with the calm demeanor an adult dog will bring. Sophie gets along great with the other dogs in her foster and still likes to run around and get some exercise. Her foster insists she get a very special family, because she is a very special girl. She would adore having her very own family to be with and be loved by. She is house broken too! If you would like Sophie to be your forever girl, the first step is to copy and paste this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Sophie is now heart worm free, spayed, up to date on shots and a very healthy girl. Full vetting and transport up north included in her $300 adoption fee. We cannot be certain what her true mix is.
Our first experience with rescue was when we brought Jessie up from a kill shelter in North Carolina. Our family couldn't believe that they were killing sweet, wonderful dogs like this every day. We decided to do something about it. That was the beginning of our journey into rescue in 2006.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Sorry, You CAN'T Visit Us - We DO NOT have a facility in Connecticut. All of our dogs (unless noted) remain in the south until they have an approved adopter.
Our Adoption Process...
How To Adopt From Us The first step is to SUBMIT AN APPLICATION found on each dog's Petfinder description. When possible, the next step is checking with your Vet reference. We will then schedule a phone interview with the potential adopter to determine if the dog would be a good match for your family. A home visit is at our discretion. If the match is approved, the adopter will enter into an adoption agreement, at which point we arrange transport for the dog to it's new family. We endeavor to create forever homes for these deserving dogs; therefore, we reserve the right to refuse adoption of a dog if we determine the family is not the correct match for the dog/puppy.
