Rose's Story...
ROSE

This pretty gal is Rose. Rose is a three year old terrier mix and weighs about 14 lbs. Rose is a very happy and friendly gal to both adults and children. She is playful with other dogs, loves dog toys, not sure about cats. She was an owner surrender that came to us house trained, uses a dog door, minds basic commands. She loves sitting on the couch hanging out, would love to sleep on the bed. Rose is very happy walking and great on a leash. This girl has been a joy to foster and is waiting to find her furever home. Rose will require a tall fence because this gal has some hops! If you would like to make Rose part of your family, please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include her name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose, a Tijeras Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
