Hi! My name is Axel and I am 5 months old. You can probably tell I won’t be as big as some dogs when I grow up, but that’s ok because I have a huge heart – it’s almost as big as my ears! I never knew what living inside a house was like, but now I know I LOVE IT!! At first, I didn’t like it much because I had ringworm when my foster family took me in and being kept in a crate was BORING. All I could do was watch the cats watch me and another GSD walk by every once in a while and stare at me which was no fun at all! Now I get to run anywhere I want! I can play with the cats (I run up to them and watch them run), play with Danielle the other GSD (she likes “smiling” at me) and run after my toys when my humans throw them for me! My favorite place is the dog bed. I like to collect all my toys, the cat toys, the cat scratching post, socks and shoes, and pile them up beside me on my bed! I love to sit for treats and being held on a lap for belly rubs! I am house trained and we are still working on being crate trained. I do get worried when my humans go outside without me so I sit and wait for them to come back in. If I don’t see them soon, I talk really loud so they know which house to come back to! I really like when we go for a walk and see new things! They tell me I walk great on a leash, but I just like walking by their side! I love being in my foster home, but it’s time for me to find my own home with my permanent humans. So if you are looking for a best friend who will always be by your side, who will always be ready to explore new adventures and who will love you more than you will love them, please let my foster parents know so I can meet you!
