I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
I Do Enjoy My Poultry.
Trixie was born about September 12, 2013 and weighs about 55 lbs. She is one sweet girl that is wonderful with the other dogs and all of us. She is terrified of gunshots and thunder so will benefit from having her humans home much of the time, just in case. It is possible she was shot at since she is here because she and two other dogs repeatedly got loose and decided to have a chicken dinner down the road. The dogs were court ordered to come here or go straight to a vet to be killed. Oh my! Some day maybe we will be a bit more civilized nation, but right now we are ahead of Canada. Trixie is good with other dogs, cats and kids. She is house trained and sometimes does struggle with car sickness, she was fine coming 15 minutes here. She is outwardly friendly and loves to play. She is a great dog and we are so happy that we were able to save her life. Oh, were also told she will 'mostly' stay home if off leash, not sure exactly how to take that due to the chicken thing. She also came to us in a heat cycle - we really hate that! We have to keep them confined for a few weeks before we can spay - just sad for the dog. Oh well, on we go..... Someone is going to love this beauty to pieces. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $325.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
