Sweet Sally is an 8-year-old, 12 pound Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Sally is a mellow girl who is happy just sitting by your side, relaxing. She gets along well with other dogs and is currently in a foster home with several other canine buddies. She isn't particularly playful, but gets along with everybody in her pack and likes having their company around when you leave. Sweet Sally really gets attached to her person and will sniff around the yard with curiosity, but always returns to be by your side. Sally has moments of skittishness that lead us to believe not all humans she's met have been worth trusting but she desperately WANTS to trust you and falls in love once she knows she's safe with you. Sally is still learning to ride in a car, and it makes her pretty nervous. She's taken a fancy to riding in the same booster seat as another dog for comfort, and although the other dogs are not a big fan of this, it seems to help reassure her that riding in the car isn't so bad. She'll let you know that she doesn't enjoy being confined to a crate. Her favorite snack is some yummy duck jerky!Sally is just fabulous with kitties! She's already letting the resident cat practically sleep on top of her while on the couch and never pesters him. If you're looking for a cat-friendly dog, this could be your girl! Sally is getting the hang of house-training. She'll likely just need a refresher course when she moves to a new home. Sally came to us from Monterey County Animal Services.
