Stuart Little is an adorable, purebred Australian Shepherd who's owners threw him out on the streets when they realized he was deaf and blind. Once we found out about Stuart we knew we wanted to step up and help him. Over the years we have rescued lots of double-merle (or "Lethal White") dogs. We know these dogs can make amazing companions if you just open your heart and let them in. To learn more about these special dogs and why we make a conscious effort to rescue them please visit http://www.lethalwhites.com/.
Stuart is about 35 pounds and is only 10 months old. He is the perfect medium size and would make a wonderful companion for any kind of family. Stuart can even live with children and cats! This sweet guy has an amazing temperament and is loving, gentle, and fun to be with. He's also super cute with his all white coat and blue eyes :)
He is very curious, and like any puppy, will need plenty of socialization and training to be an amazing adult!
Many are intimidated by a deaf and blind dog, but they are actually not as different as you may think! They can learn commands and do many of the things able-bodied dogs can do, but in their own way.
If you'd like to meet Stuart Little, please fill out an adoption application!
