Teddy Bear's Story...
It was late one night when Teddy Bear was found as a stray, sitting on a street corner all by himself, lost and afraid. His search has begun for a new home since when his owners were located, they did not want Teddy Bear back. He's about 7 years old and this border collie/spaniel mix was a bit neglected in his former life. He needed a good spa day and a dental too. Teddy Bear is just the sweetest little guy but is a bit fussy with having his feet touched and that sort of thing, so he will need a home with no children under 12. He is an angel about everything else and just wants you to hold him and let him know everything is alright. Teddy Bear doesn't have much shyness about him and makes friends easily. He only needs to know you for a few minutes before he is looking to you for reassurance. He is well behaved and has had training. He walks well on a leash and is gentle with taking treats too. He has little interest in toys but does enjoy taking a run in our exercise yard. His favorite thing is to just sit beside you and get lots of attention. Teddy Bear seems happy to meet other mellow dogs too. This sweet little man deserves a great family that will love him forever and never let him go. File#26717 9/25/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy Bear, a Forked River Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
