Lil Dude's Story...

A volunteer writes: I’m not sure that it’s the intended pronunciation, but I always find myself calling this guy Lil DOE because (although not the right gender!) he is like a baby deer out of my Disney-movie-influenced imagination. He is so, so gentle and sweet!! He’s an older guy and a sound sleeper, but he welcomes any nudges awake with kind eyes and an eagerness to go outside. He is very easy to walk and has a charming glide-like gait. He previously lived harmoniously with children, a female dog, liked sleeping on the sofa and lounging around the house.  He loves treats and takes them gently, likes being petted and appreciates help scratching his itches, and just emanates a sense of wisdom and gratefulness whenever he’s out on walks. Did I mention how he is so gentle and sweet?! Lil Do is looking for a new sofa to lounge on and a person to give warm fuzzy feelings to daily…please come check this most wonderful older gentleman out at.

In a world of “don’ts”, everything is a “do!” about Lil Do.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil Dude, a Ridgefield American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Ridgefield, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Ridgefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
