Flower's Story...
Flower is an exceptionally sweet and gentle 6-month-old red Female Vizsla(?) mix who came to Northwest Dog Project from a high-kill shelter in San Bernardino. Weighing roughly 25 lbs, our staff has described her as angelic and the sweetest dog they've ever met! Flower had demodex mange when we took her in and had clearly been neglected. She is now happy and healthy and ready for a forever family. A real love bug with people (she won't hesitate to hop right up into your lap and snuggle), she also gets along with other dogs, and is currently in foster with 5 other dogs, however she can take a minute to warm up to play and needs a dog that won't be over bearing with her. Flower is working on her basic obedience, walks well on leash although she could use some extra training on leash to perfect her skills, she is crate trained and mostly housebroken. Beautiful with her striking color and eyes, Flower will make an incredible buddy for a loving family. Flower is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flower, a Eugene Vizsla puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Vizsla for sale in Eugene, or seeking a Vizsla puppy from a breeder in Eugene.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Eugene already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Eugene breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Vizsla breeders who help with Vizsla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Eugene paves the way for another one to be saved.
