Hazel Mae's Story...
From her foster: "Hazel Mae is the prettiest, petite little girl, with the most adorable face ever. She is sweet beyond measure. She is not as crazy as her brothers, typically, and approaches things at her own pace. She likes to sit back, take in the situation and then race at you with all her heart. She is totally playful and purrs every time you pet her. She races up to see me whenever I’ve been away from her for a few hours. She is terrific with children – having been the centre of attention for a weekend with children literally doing whatever they want to her. She was carted around, carried everywhere, tucked in bed – you name it. Also she travels very well. She’s been in and out of the carrier, back and forth to a cottage several hours away, and not a peep. She just curls up and goes to sleep."

Please note that all kittens 6 months and under must go to a home with another young cat to play with or be adopted in pairs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel Mae, a THORNHILL Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in THORNHILL, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in THORNHILL.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in THORNHILL already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a THORNHILL breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in THORNHILL paves the way for another one to be saved.
