About Sweetest Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small foster-based animal rescue based on Long Island (New York). We save animals on "death row" from High Kill Shelters, and help local outreach groups, who save animals from hoarding or abandonment cases. We also rehome dogs whose elderly family can no longer care for them. Although our own rescue is relatively new, the members of our rescue have a combined 48+ years of rescue and rehabilitation experience.

Come Meet Our Pets...

by appointment or at adoption events to be announced

Our Adoption Process...

We ask that potential adopters fill out an adoption application, provide references including a veterinarian reference.

We will schedule a meet and greet and home visit.

Our adoption fee schedule is as follows:

Puppies (up to 7 Months) = $400.00
Dogs (7 Months - 7 Years) = $300.00
Senior Dogs (7 Years & Up) = $200.00
Domestic Cats/Kittens: -= $125.00
Exotic Cats/Kittens = $200.00

Although the applications are reviewed by our adoptions team, the fosters have the final say on whether the applicant gets the dog. They know what is best for their charge and without our fosters, we would be unable to rescue dogs.
