Pharaoh's Story...
Meet Pharaoh, a beautiful blue-gray dog with the sweetest face. He is a strong "horse" of a dog (he is named after American Pharaoh!), but he calms down on walks pretty quickly. He is on the younger side; he has met many people and is sociable with them. He has met children, and appears to be gentle with them.

Pharaoh would do great with an active family, or someone who might take him for jogs so he can use up some of his energy! To meet Pharaoh, come to the shelter during adoption hours between noon and 5 p.m. (6:30 on Wednesdays).

NOTE:
The Adoptapet.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pharaoh, a Bloomfield Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bloomfield, or seeking a Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bloomfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Weimaraner/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
