Hi there – my name is Misty and I am a new transplant to your lovely Southern California.  I lived all my 8 years out of state, but since my arrival in the latest Hound Haul I have been diligently exploring your sunshine and sea-spray filled corner of the Golden State, and I love it so far!  The real cherry on top will be when I get to go home to with a wonderful forever family.  Could that be you?

With 8 years of basset-ness under my belt, I have mastered lots of the basics.  No need for house or “heel” training, I am good at those already!  At this stage of life, I like to go for nice meandering walks, and I am very well-behaved on a leash.  I just hope you will give me lots of time to sniff all the neat things there are to sniff here!  I also like to take pauses for belly-rubs, whether that’s when we’re on walks or really just any old time!

So what do you think?  Do you have room in your home and heart for a devoted senior lady by your side?  Call BHRSC and meet me soon!

Misty is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150.

About Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California

About Our Rescue Group...

Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California (BHRSC) offers sanctuary, healing and forever families to distressed, abandoned, injured or homeless hounds.

The hounds we rescue are placed in foster homes (or boarded, if no foster homes are available). We seek loving homes where they will spend their remaining years cuddling, eating, drooling, resting, playing, and socializing with people and other family pets.

We work to raise funds to save as many hounds as possible and constantly thrive to grow our network of volunteers and foster homes.

BHRSC takes in more than 100 hounds per year! With the down economy many families are losing their homes and having to relinquish their hounds. Shelters are full and rescues across the country are suffering. Many are overflowing and unable to take in hounds while others are closing their doors completely. Your support is more important than ever during this tough time.
