Bubba is a handsome, smart Heeler mix who loves to please and perform. He and his brother were little puppies on I-35 when they were rescued. Now Bubba is 18 months old (Oct 2016), 55 lbs., house and crate trained, knows several commands and is eager for his forever home. He can sit and shake, lie down and roll over, he's learning to catch a Frisbee and it seems he has a natural talent! Loves to go get anything you throw!

He would love an active person or family with kids to run and play, kiss and cuddle. He’s proven a 4’ fence isn’t tall enough to securely contain him, so a 6’ fence will be a minimum!   Bubba is a little shy when meeting new people and really appreciates someone who understands, and doesn't mind sitting on the floor with him to get acquainted. Then he will be your new bestie!

If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Bubba is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.

About DFW Rescue Me

About Our Rescue Group...

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Dogs can be met at our adoptions events, at their foster homes, or the boarding facility where they are staying. They can also be met during the home visit.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fee for dogs is $250. We required an adoption application and check both vet references and pet deposits / breed restrictions if they apply. We also do a home check prior to all adoptions.
