Age: 3 years, Birthday 7/9/2013
Size/Weight: Large dog weighing 70 lbs.
Color: White & Orange spots
Breed: English setter/Labrador mix
Socialization/training: Ollie is a very social dog. Loves to meet people & dogs.
Good with Children: Unknown
Good with Dogs: Ollie gets along well with our dogs. He sleeps in his own dog bed along side with our dogs. He also hangs out with them while we are at work.
Good with Cats: Unknown. When he was outside on leash, a cat walked by and Ollie didn't seem to be interested with it.
House trained: Yes, hasn't had any accidents
Crate trained: Does not seem to like the crate.
Leash trained: He does well on the leash as long as you keep him next to you. He loves his daily walks.
Activity Level: Ollie loves to go for his walk & then comes home, eats breakfast & is laid back the rest of the day.
Fence: A hard tall fence (6 ft) would be best for Ollie. He can jump small fences.
Behavior: Ollie loves to cuddle. He loves to be petted. We are working on his jumping. When he is excited for his walk or when we come home, he tends to jump. He has improved but, we still need some work.
Medical History: Ollie is neutered & up to date with all his vaccines. He is negative for heart worm & any tick related diseases.
Foster Comments: Ollie is a very good dog. Unfornately, we already have 2 big dogs. It is a challenge to walk 3 big dogs at a time, so we can only foster him. He loves to go to the cabin with us. We have a fenced in back yard up there, & he has not tried to jump it. I believe that is because we don't let them out side without someone with him. He is a swimmer & loves the water. He is eating well. We had to get a special bowl to slow him down. He also takes treats well.
Adoption fee: $300.00
Foster Location: Wernersville, PA
In most cases volunteer transport is available for your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home.
Above and Beyond English Setter Rescue is not a shelter, but a group of volunteers who are committed to finding excellent homes for the dogs in our program. All of our dogs are living in foster homes in states across the country. Often times a dog is not geographically close to where an adopter lives. When possible, transport assistance is provided at no cost to the adopter. Our transports are coordinated by the Above and Beyond ES Rescue Transport volunteers and driven by volunteers. For more information and to complete an application, please visit the Above and Beyond English Setter Rescue website, http://www.esrescue.org/Application.html

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
