Breed:  DLH

Approx DOB:  10/17/2014

Good with other cats/dogs:  yes

Vetting:  altered (spayed/neutered), UTD on shots, FIV/FeLV negative

Health issues:  none

Temperament:   Somewhat timid but loves to be petted and will come down from his perch for treats and petting.

Intake reason:  Originally, Mistle came to us from BCAC as a kitten.  He was hunkered in the back of a kennel with two feral kittens.  We plucked him out and assessed him to find out whether he was feral or not, but we quickly realized he was not.  Mistle was with us for over a year when he finally was adopted with another one of our cats in April of 2016, to what we thought would be his furever home.  However, a few months later, we were contacted that the adopter needed to return him and the other cat because his wife left him and he couldn’t care for them anymore.  The other cat that was returned has since been adopted... but Mistle still awaits his furever home.  Please don’t let him wait another day... another week... another minute... another second.  Mistle is quiet and sweet.  He longs for a quiet and calm environment with a loving owner.  He does great around other cats because ultimately that’s what he’s been used to since he was a baby.   He’s Ninna’s favorite so we will be picky.  Are you the one to give him a furever home where furever truly means furever?

Others notes:   Only adopters with a responsible cat ownership history and excellent vet reference need apply.   If you bring this pet into your heart and home, you will receive in return many years of love, companionship, and loyalty.  That’s our guarantee.   Keep in mind BEFORE APPLYING that a cat’s lifespan is 15-20 years… sometimes even longer!   If you cannot provide a FOREVER home, please do not apply!

**IMPORTANT NOTES:  This pet is available for adoption through Ninna’s Road to Rescue, Benton, La.  We are 501c3 non-profit organization.  Our mission is to rescue small-breed dogs and a handful of cats and to re-home them into RESPONSIBLE and CARING forever homes.   To apply to be approved to adopt, please e-mail roadtorescue@bellsouth.net for an adoption application.

Time may be of the essence if you are looking to adopt a specific animal.  We do not reserve animals, unless and until we have approved your application, provided the animal is still available at the time we receive your application.  The first APPROVED application we receive will be considered.  We are NOT a first come, first serve rescue!! We adopt our rescues out to the RIGHT home, not just A home. Only responsible pet owners need apply.

Applying to adopt does NOT commit you to the adoption until you’ve met the pet (unless you already have).
